Safety measures during building demoltion

The Following Safety Measure shall be provided for Demolition Work

Ø  Area should be Barricades around the Demolition area

Ø  Two Exits to be provide for escape of workmen

Ø  Flash lights should be provide around the barricading area

Ø  Public services such as gas, water, electricity, sewers, etc. have been Located and the Authorities informed.

Ø  Adequate Fire Fighting equipment should be Provide during gas cutting Operations

Ø  Use of Personal Protective equipment

Ø  Display Safety Sign Boards around demolition area

Ø  All emergency escape routes are clear.

Ø  All demolished materials have been removed or secured.

Ø  Disconnect all the Electrical supply

Ø  The structure to be demolished and its components are to remain in a stable and safe condition at all stages.

Ø  Personnel are not to work underneath or within the structure being demolished.

Ø  Adequate lighting Arrangement should be provide

Ø  The demolition site shall be secured with an adequate security fence / hoarding to prevent unauthorized access to the site.

Ø  At all times demolition work is supervised by a Contractor competent person

Ø  Opening where there is a risk of person falling shall be guarded

Ø  Necessary arrangements should be made for scaffolds, props, fencing, notices, etc.

Ø  Building has been inspected for areas containing Hazardous or Toxic Substance

Ø  All demolition equipment   should be operated by Authorized person & Inspected by competent Person SSV
